The Lowell Democrat was on hand at the American Legion on Groton Road yesterday to receive an endorsement from the Veterans and Military Families for Progress.

Congresswoman Niki Tsongas came to Chelmsford yesterday to get the endorsement of Veterans and Military Families for Progress, a group advocating for veterans' issues.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of VMFP and the many veterans we were joined by today,” said Congresswoman Tsongas, “As a member of the House Armed Services Committee and as the daughter of a career Army Officer, I know just how important the work of VMFP is. I hope to earn the right to continue to represent the people of Massachusetts and go back to Congress to stand up for those who have sacrificed so very much for us.”
