Two Men Arrested, Charged in Tuesday Night Robberies

Both faced a judge on Thursday.

Two men have been arrested and charged in two armed robberies Tuesday night in Chelmsford.

John Hickey, 28, of Revere was arrested early Wednesday morning on warrants and was later charged with the robberies, according to the Lowell Sun.

The two armed robberies happened Tuesday night within two hours of each other. In one incident a man was robbed at gunpoint outside his Wellman Avenue home at about 8:20 p.m.. In the second incident two hours later, a woman was also robbed at gunpoint walking along Technology Drive.

Hickey was arraigned Thursday and held on bail until a dangerousness hearing on Monday. He pled not guilty to his role in both robberies, the Lowell Sun is reporting.

Another man, Michael Santangelo also went before a judge in connection with his role in the robberies, according to the Sun. He was held on $2,500 cash bail.
