VIDEO: Kids Experience Hockey for Free

More than 30 kids tried hockey for free on Saturday at Chelmsford Hockey Association's Try Hockey for Free Day. The event was open to children ages 4 through 9 interested in trying out the game.

Chelmsford Hockey Association President Scott Millin said the event is a good way to gauge a child's interest in what can sometimes be an intimidating sport to start playing.

This year was the first that the organization held two Try Hockey for Free Days - one in November and one in February. Many students sign up for Learn to Skate or Learn to Play programs after attending, Millin said.
