Week in Review: Yeoman Resigns, Martinez Wins Over Dahlberg

- Superintendent Dr. Don Yeoman dropped a bombshell on the School Committee this week when he announced his resignation on Tuesday. Yeoman said his work in Chelmsford was "done" and he looks forward to "taking a break."
- The School Committee voted Friday to appoint Dr. Frank Tiano, currently assistant superintendent, as acting superintendent.
- An elderly driver lost control of his Audi on Wednesday and crashed into Walgreens. Police did not say if the 85-year-old will be cited.
- Voters chose Tea Party Republican Sandi Martinez over Eric Dahlberg on Tuesday for a seat in the state senate. Martinez won Chelmsford, Concord, and Waltham, while Dahlberg won voters in Lincoln. Local political leaders saw Martinez's win as a huge victory for the Tea Party.
- Chelmsford Lions shut out Acton-Boxborough on Thursday 13 - 0. Despite a rainy game, Chelmsford's defense held strong throughout the game.
