Credit Card Thief Caught After Hitting Same Gym a Third Time, Concord Police Say

An alleged credit card thief was caught in Concord Wednesday after police said he hit the same gym a third time.

Pablo Rafael Rivera, 32, of Worcester, faces 27 charges. Police said he stole multiple credit cards from the Beede Center Gym and used them to purchase more than $11,000 worth of goods.

Police on Wednesday morning issued a press release saying they were trying to find Rivera. Hours later, police said he walked into the gym. Employees recognized him and called police.

“This case is a clear example of the effectiveness of the Concord Police working together with the community,” Police Chief Joseph O’Connor said in a statement. “I am pleased that the employees maintained a high degree of vigilance and called police immediately upon this suspect’s return.”
