Ann Gillespie-Artist Opening Reception

Saturday, April 28 Meet the Artist

Artisans Way, located at 18 Walden Street in Concord, MA will host a reception for local pastel artist Ann Gillespie on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Her new collection of paintings, “The Light Through The Trees”, celebrates the beauty of trees, light, and nature. From 1pm – 5 pm, Ann will be in the gallery to share her inspirations and explain the techniques she uses to create her color-rich pastel landscapes. In addition, all Fine Art will be discounted 10% on April 28 & 29.

An award winning artist, Ann Gillespie’s personal experiences in nature are what motivate her to capture the light, color, and uniqueness of the New England landscape that surrounds her. The scenes that she finds most inspiring in nature are the ones that she finds simultaneously exhilarating and peaceful.

Ann became interested in art in high school and went on to receive a BA in Studio Art from Hamilton College in upstate NY. Today, she has a successful freelance business in graphic design, continues to create beautiful pastel landscapes, and shares her knowledge and love of the medium by teaching classes at the Harvard Cultural Collaborative. Ann is a member of the Bolton Artisans Guild, The Pastel Society of New Hampshire, Lowell Art Association, and The Newburyport Art Association.
