In an era of off-the-rack clothing, skills required for needle, thread and a sewing machine are still relevant. “A good adjustment and the right fit for your clothing makes you look good,” said Theresa Quinn, longtime instructor. “You can learn how, and we have fun.”
The winter term sewing class meets Monday nights at Concord Carlisle High School at 6:30-8:45 p.m., starting Feb. 1. The eight-week class provides for plenty of time for projects of the student’s choice. Students may bring patterns, customize them, and learn a variety of alterations. “You’ll pull out that pair of slacks or blouse or shirt that isn’t quite right and make it something you want to wear again,” said Quinn.
