With 4 loses in the regular season the CC Boys soccer team did not show the dominance they had exhibited in the past 2 regular seasons.
In fact, they ended the season with a lopsided loss to the traditional weak Newton South team and a last minute tie forced on them by Weston.
The disappointing finish to the regular season put them in the MIAA tournament with a seating that required them to win 7 games to repeat as division 2 state champs.

CC blew away their weak early opponents (Shawsheen Tech & Northeast Tech) then they hung on and squeaked by the tough competitors (Melrose, Winchester, Wayland & Sandwich).

The Patriots had their chances to grab the lead against Groton-Dunstable in the division 2 final game, but with 20 minutes left in the game the Crusaders took the lead for good and then scored an insurance goal in the final minute.
