The Concord Bookshop: A Valuable Town Resource

Authors come from all over to the Concord Bookshop.

The is one of several business that gives Concord a legitimate downtown area. It adds retail diversity to a downtown dominated by apparel shops. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful and the store is large enough to have the books in store for most reading needs.

But the thing that makes the Concord Bookshop really stand out as downtown resource is the frequent and almost regularly scheduled book signings held there. Most Sundays at 3 p.m., authors from around the world stop in at the Concord Bookshop to discretely describe their latest release and sign books.

In recent weeks, Alan Lightman, Tobey Lester, Sarah McCoy, and Margot Livesey have come to the shop. Past visitors include Gregory Maguire, Jem Leahy, Leslie Perrin, Lawrence Rosenweld, and many, many more.
