C-C Girls' Swim Team Places Third at State Meet
Stellar relay performances pace Patriots at Div. 1 meet at Harvard University.

The Concord-Carlisle High School girls’ swimming and diving team placed third at the MIAA Division 1 state meet at Harvard University on Sunday.
C-C scored 127 points to finish behind state champion Lincoln-Sudbury Regional (195 points) and runner up Westford Academy (181.5). Gardner High School was fourth with 124.5 points and Minnechaug Regional of Wilbraham rounded out the top five with 106.
The Patriots owe much of their success to their ability to work well together, as C-C teams placed in the top four in two of three relay events.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Kristen Brozowski, Rachel Andre, Rose Healy and Morgan Evans teamed up to finish third. The Patriots finished the event in 1 minute, 42.03 seconds.
C-C finished the 200 medley relay in 1:52.79 for fourth place. The team consisted of Healy, Evans, Brozowski and Nell Briggs.

The Patriots closed out the relay events with a seventh-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay. Briggs, Andre and Evans joined Marin Epstein to finish in 3:45.11.
Concord-Carlisle performed well in the individual events too, highlighted by the 1-meter dive event. Two Patriots finished in the top five, include event-winner Sloane Brazina. She scored 513.85 in the finals to take the individual state championship. Katie Vogel placed fourth with 413 points.
Two Patriots also finished in the top 10 of the 100 breaststroke. Evans was fifth in 1:09.27 and Sarah Poirier was eighth in 1:10.28.
Briggs was fourth in the 200 freestyle in 1:58.85 and eighth in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.26.
