C-C Nordic Ski Teams Place in Top 5 at State Meet
Patriot boys' finish fifth, while girls' are fourth.

Nearly 250 skiers took to the snow at the Nochview Reservation for the MIAA Nordic Freestyle State Championship on Wednesday afternoon. And it was a good day for the High School boys’ and girls’ Nordic teams.
The Patriot boys’ team placed fourth with 78 points. Western Massachusetts juggernaut Mt. Greylock won with 34 points, followed Lincoln-Sudbury with 59 and Dover-Sherborn with 75.
On the girls’ side, C-C placed fifth with 113 points. Mt. Greylock took first place with 29 points to complete the sweep for the school. L-S (72) again was second, with Acton-Boxboro in third with 84 points.

Concord-Carlisle’s Olivia Meyerson placed second in the 7-kilometer freestyle race, completing the course in 22 minutes, 35 seconds.
Katie Driscoll was the second Patriot to cross, placing 30th overall in 28:23. Caitlin Guiney was 35th in 29:02, Addie Bakewell was 46th in 30:29, Liz Hart was 55th in 30:58, Sophie Spiers was 59th in 31:25, Campbell Hart was 64th in 31:46 and Melissa Mariano was 70th in 32:24.

Lincoln-Sudbury junior Corey Stock won the girls’ race for the third straight year with a time of 21:58.
The Patriots performed just as well in the boys’ race. C-C’s Chris Burnham placed third when he crossed the finish line in 20:14.
Also for Concord-Carlisle, Calvin Wight was sixth in 20:21, Max Rubinstein was 32nd in 23:12, Hank Yoder tied for 37th in 23:53, Nat Kelly was 51st in 24:50, Christian Salemy tied for 56th in 25:08, Sam Goggin tied for 65th in 25:44 and Brendan Numan was 71st in 26:12.
Eli Hoening of Lincoln-Sudbury won he boys’ race in 19:17. Hoening’s brother, Isaac, had won the individual championship the past three years.
