At sundown on August 7, we enter Shabbat Re'eh. It's the last Shabbat before the month of Elul begins, ushering in the season of the High Holy Days. Re'eh, the first word of the weekly Torah portion, means "See!" Moses reminds the Israelites of God’s commandments and urges them to look closely at the sort of life they want. We are constantly faced with choices. Will we do what we know in our hearts to be right?
