Carlton, Castelline, White & Barrett Selected Dual County League Lacrosse All-Stars

For the second consecutive year  Senior Tri-Captain Jill Carlton has been recognized as one of the top 50 lacrosse players in Eastern Massachusetts.

Carlton was elected to the Eastern Massachusetts Girls Lacrosse Association All Star Honorable Mention Team. The EMGLCA All Stars are voted by coaches from the nineteen Eastern Massachusetts Leagues, and is one of the states’ most prestigious honors in girl’s high school lacrosse. Carlton was also selected as a Dual County League All Star, her second year in a row. Carlton led the 2012 Patriot team in Goals (50) and Assists (34). She will be attending St. Lawrence University in the fall where she plans to continue playing lacrosse.

Senior Midfielder and Tri-Captain Jessie Castelline also earned Dual County League All Stars honors. Castelline led the Patriots in Draw Controls (72) and was second in Ground Balls (23). She will be attending Gordon College where she plans to continue playing lacrosse.

Senior Goalie Greta White earned Dual County League All Star honors as well.  White was one of the DCL’s top goalies and received high praise from both teammates and opposing players and coaches. White led the team in interceptions (36). She will be attending St. Lawrence University in the fall.

Sophomore Midfielder Allie Barrett was the fourth CC player to be named a Dual County League All Star. Barrett lead the team in Ground Balls (37), Caused Turnovers (24) and was second in Goals (43).  

The Patriot Girls Lacrosse Team Awards were announced at the team banquet on June 10, 2012. Allie Barrett was voted Most Valuable Player, Sophomore Emma Mahoney was voted Rookie of the Year, and Seniors Caitie Standish and Greta White were voted Most Improved Players. The Coaches Award was given to Senior Jenny Robinson.

The 2013 Patriot Tri-Captains were also announced. Next year’s team will be led by Kate Wyeth (2013), Maddie Holmes (2013), and Allie Barrett (2014).
