CCHS Boys' Basketball Learns Tournament Seed
Patriots earn No. 9 spot, opens March 2 against Brighton High School.
Nine days will have passed between games for the High School boys’ basketball team when it opens the MIAA North Division 2 tournament on Wednesday night. However, the Patriots certainly won’t complain about earning a Preliminary Round bye.
C-C, which finished the regular season at 13-7 for second place in the Dual County League small division, was slotted as the No. 9 seed in the sectional tournament when pairings were released on Friday.
The Patriots will take on No. 8 Brighton High School (11-5) to open postseason play in the First Round. The two teams, which did not meet during the regular season, will face off at Boston Latin Academy. The tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Wilmington High School earned the No. 1 seed with its 17-3 record. New Mission High School of Roxbury and North Andover High School are No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, with matching records of 16-4.
The MIAA North Division 2 sectional final will be held either March 5 or 6 at the TD Garden or Emmanuel College.
