CCHS Girls' Hockey Looks Ahead to State Semis
Patriots will face Duxbury for shot at program's first state final appearance.
Just six-years old, each step the Concord-Carlisle High School girls’ hockey team takes in the MIAA Division 1 is a milestone occasion for the Patriots.
On Sunday, Concord-Carlisle will play in its first ever state semifinals, taking on Duxbury High School at the Foxboro Sports Center. The first puck between the No. 11 Patriots and the No. 2 Dragons is slated to drop at noon.
The two teams did not meet during the regular season. However, these two schools aren’t strangers, especially not when playing in Foxboro. In the fall, the C-C and Duxbury football teams met in the MIAA Division 2A Super Bowl at the home of the New England Patriots, Gillette Stadium.

Duxbury won the game 35-13, and now the Patriots may be looking for a little revenge.
C-C (13-8-1) reached the state semifinals by ousting No. 14 Ursuline Academy of Dedham 2-1 in Foxboro. Ursuline got on the scoreboard first, slipping the puck past Michaela Haller.

But the Patriots quickly came back and tied the game in the second and went ahead for good just 19 seconds into the third. Freshman Allie Colleran scored both goals for C-C.
Duxbury advanced with a convincing 7-0 win over Canton High School.
In the other semifinal, No. 1 Norwood High School will meet No. 4 Fontbonne Academy of Milton. Those two will play Saturday at 4 p.m. in Foxboro.
