Cheer on Local Riders: Pan-Mass Challenge Kicks off Tomorrow

This weekend, 34 Concord residents will hit the starting line the 33rd Annual Pan-Massachusetts Challenge (PMC).
The annual biking event, which will take place tomorrow and Sunday, benefits the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. It includes five two-day rides as well as six one-day rides, with the longest route stretching 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown.

Newton native Billy Star founded the ride back in 1980 and since then, the event has grown to raise more money than any other athletic fundraising event in the country, according to a June press release from the PMC.
