Anika Morgan Currie, Concord resident and daughter of Aiyana Currie and Michael Currie, graduated from Cotting School in Lexington on June 6 as a member of the 132nd graduating class. Anika received The Cotting Family Community Pursuit of Independence Award, which recognizes a graduate who has made great strides towards independence at Cotting School and in the larger community.
Founded in 1893, Cotting School serves students ages 3-22 with a broad spectrum of learning and communication disabilities, physical challenges and complex medical conditions. Its mission is to empower students with disabilities to achieve their highest learning potential and level of independence.
