“I am still very passionate about serving students,” Badalament said on Feb. 3 during a phone interview with The Concord Journal. “I’m really excited to still work to make schools better for kids, but I just see myself doing it in a different way.”

Badalament said his daughter will stay at CCHS, where she will be a senior next year, adding that there were no issues with school administration that factored into his decision.

“There were zero problems (with administration),” Badalament said. “I’ve loved working in Concord.”

In an email to the school community on Feb. 2, Superintendent Diana Rigby wrote, “Please join me in thanking Peter for his dedicated leadership and service… as we wish him the very best in his new work.
