Concord Cop Log: Driver Charged After Crashing Into House, Underage Drinking Patrol, Driver Pulled Over for Going Too Slow

The following are excerpts from the Concord police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Sat., Sept. 27

  • 2:04 p.m. A man reported an elderly man fell on ORNAC Road and was having trouble getting up.
  • 3:01 p.m. A passerby reported two dogs were in a parked vehicle on Main Street. An officer responded and found the windows were slightly open. The owner soon arrived and the dogs appeared to be OK.
  • 5:58 p.m. Officers conducted an underage drinking patrol in several locations across town. Two vehicle stops were made and three youths were “spoken to.” No arrests were made.
  • 7:23 p.m. A woman on Hayward Mill Circle said her terrier ran away. She called back a short time later and said the dog returned.
  • 8:29 p.m. A woman on Main Street said she left a bed frame for sale outside of her residence. A man picked it up, believing it was free. He agreed to return it.
  • 9:06 p.m. Fireworks were reported on Crabtree Road.
  • 9:21 p.m. An officer pulled over a vehicle that was traveling “well below” the posted speed limit on the Cambridge Turnpike. The driver was just unfamiliar with the area.

Sun., Sept. 28

  • 12:02 a.m. Michael Boyd, 33, of Acton, was charged with reckless driving and a lane violation after he allegedly drove into a home on Elm Street.
  • 5:18 p.m. A woman said money was stolen from her vehicle, which was parked of Thoreau Street.
  • 9:15 p.m. A caller said there was a “loud group of kids” on Keyes Road.
