Author & Illustrator Day: Sunday, December 6

First Dibs at the Concord Museum Shop! Enjoy an evening of shopping at the Concord Museum Shop on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be served and gift-wrapping will be available on-site. Concord Museum members always receive a 10% discount at the Concord Museum Shop. Books, jewelry, decorative accents for the home and a great selection of scarves and ties. All the books featured in the 20th Annual Family Trees: A Celebration of Children’s Literature are available for purchase.

5th Annual Holiday House Tour: Saturday, December 5, 2015 On Saturday, December 5, 2015, several of Concord’s most beautiful private homes will be professionally decorated in the holiday spirit by local and Boston-based interior designers. Guests will be welcomed inside the front doors of eight gracious private residences to visit the charming ground floor rooms. From Colonial to Victorian to Shingle Style and more, each house will be decorated in a different holiday theme. The Concord Museum welcomes you to spend the day in Concord, a small town with a big history, and enjoy the elegant streets, charming cafés and shops, as well as the many historic homes. Complimentary morning coffee and donuts will be provided by Dunkin’ Donuts of Concord. Complimentary hot beverages and cookies will be provided by the Colonial Inn. Boxed lunches are available for purchase only when pre-ordering tickets online.

The Guild of Volunteers is organizing this event as a benefit for the education initiatives of the Museum. The House Tour Co-Chairs are Kelly Benkert, Aura Bruce & Karla Slade. Tickets may be purchased online, at the Museum, or by phone through December 3: $40 Members, $45 Non-members; after December 3 or day of: $50. No refunds; no photography. Tickets and maps must be picked up at the Concord Museum the day of the tour.


An Afternoon with Authors and Illustrators: Sunday, December 6, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Meet some of the talented authors and illustrators whose books are featured in the 20th Annual Family Trees at the Concord Museum. Stroll through the galleries to enjoy the trees and visit with authors and illustrators as they sign your books.
