Concord Police Log: Arrest After 'Home Invasion'; Panhandling; T-Mobile Cell Tower Batteries Stolen

The following are excerpts from the Concord police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • 12:17 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Route 2, Daniel Kakitis, 50, of Templeton, was charged with driving with a suspended license.
  • 6:52 a.m. Following a crash on Main Street, a driver was cited for failure to use caution while turning.
  • 7:15 a.m. Claudia De Santana, 43, of Maynard, was charged with unlicensed driving following a report of a possible home invasion on Old Marlboro Road. A woman told police De Santana and another individual were trying to break into her home. The pair said they were from a cleaning company and at the wrong address. Police did a records check on De Santana and subsequently charged her.
  • 8:41 a.m. A business on Commonwealth Avenue reported receiving a bad check from another company.
  • 10:34 a.m. A woman on Upland Road said she was the target of harassing text messages.
  • 12:38 p.m. A lost watch was reported on Deaconess Road.
  • 7:27 p.m. A panhandler was reported in front of Trail’s End Cafe on Lowell Road.

Tue., March 24

  • 11:17 a.m. T-Mobile reported batteries at its cell tower at Baker Avenue Extension were stolen. A K9 searched the area.
  • 4:29 p.m. A lost dog was found on Highland Street.
  • 5:45 p.m. A man on Main Street reported his vehicle was stolen. He then called police back and said he forgot he left it at the train station.
