Concord's 'Spamalot' Nominated For 8 Awards
The Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild's Musical Theatre Awards will be held Saturday, June 24.

CONCORD, MA – Concord Carlisle Theater Company's production of "Spamalot" was a hit with critics and audiences alike this year, receiving eight nominations at the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild's Musical Theatre Awards.
The musical, written by "Monty Pyton" actor Eric Idle, was a 180-degree shift in tone from last year's production of "Phantom of the Opera." In an interview with the Concord Journal in early May, Concord-Carlisle High School theater studies teacher said this year's show allowed the actors "let loose" and show off their personalities.
And it paid off – the show's nominations include the highly coveted Best Overall Production. "Spamalot" was also nominated for Best Student Orchestra, Best Supporting Actress – Paige Walker, Best Lead Actor – Burke Hutchinson, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Dance Ensemble, Best Hair and Make Up Design and Best Props Design and Management.
