CPW: Road Paving Projects Still Planned as Scheduled

Despite recent wet weather and the continued threat of rain in the forecast, Laws Brook Road paving is planned for Wednesday, June 12, and the Grant Street neighborhood on Thursday.

It's looked like rain an awful lot lately, but it doesn't look like Mother Nature will wash out Concord Public Works' paving plans for this week. 

Despite recent wet weather and the continued threat of rain in the forecast, CPW Director Rich Reine confirmed Tuesday that Laws Brook Road paving is still scheduled for tomorrow, June 12, with the Grant Street neighborhood on deck for Thursday.

Concord Public Works' contractor for the Roads Program is planning on paving Laws Brook Rd (from #328 Laws Brook Rd. to the town line) on Wednesday, June 12.  Please prepare for delays or seek an alternate route, if possible. This work is weather dependent.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a possibity of heavy rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday night, with a slight chance of showers on Wednesday. The threat of showers is heightened on Thursday.

In an email to Patch on Tuesday, Reine said he expects paving will go ahead as planned on Laws Brook and Pond on Wednesday. In the case of showers on Thursday, paving the Grant Street are would be pushed back to next week. 

Reine added that CPW is monitoring the weather closely, and would likely send out an email blast as confidence increases in Thursday’s forecast.
