Holy Family Parish in Concord, MA is happy to announce an evening of musical entertainment, which will take place on Saturday, October 13, 7:30 PM at the Armagh Coffee House at Monument Hall, 62 Monument Square, Concord.
Performing will be Sam Mendales - a funny, insightful and frequently moving singer/songwriter and guitarist. He has been writing, recording and playing his music professionally since he was a junior at Bayside High School in Queens. Sam has played coffeehouses, bars, house concerts and other interesting venues in New York, Austin, Northeast Ohio, Los Angeles and Boston.
He has performed at Bedford's own New Song Coffeehouse, the late and unlamented Sword in the Stone coffeehouse, the Nameless, the wonderful Jerry's House Concert series, the Bedford Center for the Arts, the Bedford 2K Celebration, and Bedford’s Got Talent. Most recently, he performed in a series of house concerts in the Boston area to benefit Kids4PeaceBoston, an interfaith, non-political organization of Christians, Muslims and Jews that fosters friendship, understanding and respect among children and families.

Over the years, his original recordings have been played on KUT FM (Austin), WMMS (Cleveland), WBUR, the late WCAS, WUMB, WERS and in a bizarre moment, Radio Brussels. He continues to toil in the vineyards of his studio at his Springs Road abode writing songs about life, love, snails, the blues and unfortunate culinary choices.
Coffee House admission for this event is $10 and children under 12 are $5. For more information, contact the parish at 978-369-7442.
