Backyard Birds and Bees

Do you have a veggie garden and need great fertilizer? Or curious about what it takes to keep chickens and/or bees? Don't miss the Garden/Life program with Tom and Edie Sisson, who bring considerable experience and wisdom about home gardening. Come on your own, or bring a friend! RSVP to deb01742@comcast.net by May  8.

The Sisson's Thoreau Country Farm started as a family project 40 years ago and evolved into a farm business, selling honey and wholesale eggs or hatching eggs for classroom use. Tom has kept hives for 70 years, and is acknowledged as the 'bee whisperer' of Concord! He manages about 6 bee hives now. Edie oversees about 100 layers and also teaches at Drumlin Farm. They also are terrific veggie gardeners.
