The Cambridge Society for Early Music (non-profit) will present a new string quartet of recognized star performers, the Coriolanus Quartet, in Carlisle on Jan. 26. The program is devoted to Franz Joseph Haydn, the earliest master of the quartet, and the players will use fine old instruments of the era with gut strings to recreate the warm and sprightly sounds of the 18th century.
