Concord Area Humanists Meeting

Wed. Sept. 7, Concord Area Humanists meet at 7:00 PM for socializing and 7:30 for the talk at Wright Tavern Center in Concord, MA, adjacent to the First Parish Church.  Jonathan Figdor presents The Confessions of a Humanist Chaplain: Sex, Humanism, and How to Win the War Against Conservative Religion.  Dr. Figdor is the Assistant Chaplain at the Harvard Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard University.  He will talk about his pathway to Humanism, from his childhood in liberal, heavily Jewish NY, to his education at the most godless college in America, to his student career as the first Atheistic Humanist in Harvard Divinity School's history, to his (not so secret) plans to establish other prestigious Humanist Chaplaincies built on the Harvard Humanist model.  Further information is available from Patrick Everett pne@aol.com, or Maria Greene maria@justmagicdesign.com
