International Earth Day (celebrated in Concord)

To honor International Earth Day, which falls on Sunday, April 22nd world wide, Musketaquid Arts & Environment is planning several activities for that particular day, held at outdoor locations throughout Concord, as well as at the Emerson Umbrella.

The Schedule for International Earth Day, Sunday, April 22:
1 to 4 pm
Wild Studios Walkabout
Artistic presentations, inspired by nature, held in several outdoor locations throughout Concord. (As of this writing, Estabrook Woods and the Mill Dam site are two Wild Studios locations.) These presentations have been developed by those who participated in the wild studios workshops held in various locations in Concord, as well as at the Emerson Umbrella. 1 to 5:30 pm
(part 1: build from 1-4 pm; part 2: play from 4-5:30 pm)
River Ceremony Workshop
Held at a spot on one of the local rivers, in preparation for the River Ceremony held on Musketaquid Earth Day on April 28th. “Play” (part 2) will be solidifying plans for the River Ceremony. 5 to 8 pm
Earth Month Exhibit Artists’ Reception
Party with the Earth Month Exhibit Artists in the Emerson Umbrella Gallery, located at 40 Stow Street in Concord. Various musical and literary presentations will take place during the reception. The Dirty Water Brass Band will kick off the proceedings. [The Earth Month Exhibit runs April 5th through April 29th.]

All International Earth Day events will be presented in Concord, with several taking place at Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts located at 40 Stow Street.
