Introduction to Morality from a Catholic Perspective

Holy Family Parish in Concord, Massachusetts, in collaboration with Saint Irene Parish in Carlisle, will be hosting renowned theologian and professor Ernie Collamati on Thursday, January 10. The presentation on the subject of Catholic Morality will take place at Saint Irene’s parish hall 181 East Street in Carlisle at 7:30 PM. This class will also fulfill a theological requirement for Basic Catechist Certification in the Archdiocese of Boston.

Ernie Collamati is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies as well as the Chairperson of the Religious Studies and Philosophy Department at Regis College in Weston. He holds both an MA and Ph.D in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. As a speaker Ernie has an incredible knack to connect the dots between the theological tradition of the Church and the everyday experience of Catholic woman and men. This has earned him the reputation of being one of the most respected and beloved figures on the Regis College campus.

In addition to teaching full time at Regis, Ernie lectures widely in parishes in Eastern Massachusetts on issues of Catholic belief and practice as well as other theological issues.  He is a popular speaker not only because of his religious knowledge but also because of his quick wit and self-effacing humor.
