Mind and Body: the latest research

Join Carole Legro, MA, RNC, LMT, for a discussion of recent research around mindfulness and Heart Rhythm meditation and how these disciplines decrease stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure and boost immunity.  Carole is a mind body educator and psychotherapist with over 35 years’ experience in Integrative Medicines’ healing arts. She has completed graduate studies in Clinical Psychology and Organizational Development. Carole was the principal creator of Mind Body Programs at Lowell General Hospitals’ Center for Community Health and Wellness from 2003-2010. She has completed general and advanced internships in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and instructor supervision at the University of Massachusetts’ Center for Mindfulness. In addition she has completed training at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospitals’ Mind Body Institute and is a provider of HeartMath interventions. She serves as adjunct faculty for the Center for Mindfulness research studies at UMASS Medical Center and Harvard/ Mass General Hospital’s Mindfulness Study Programs. She will discuss how Mind Body practices affect health, immunity and disease.
