
Musketaquid Arts and Environment, in collaboration with OARS, announces its 22nd annual Musketaquid Earth Day celebration which this year falls on Saturday, April 28th, from 10 am-2 pm.

10 am
River Ceremony
All are welcome to join in at the Lowell Road Boat Launch located in Concord. Developed by participants in the river ceremony workshops, the ceremony will feature wise and foolish chickens, and sprites from water and earth. Expect the unexpected. The Voices for the Earth Chorus will provide song and celebration. The Earth Day Parade proceeds from this location.
11 am
Earth Day Parade
Parade from Lowell Road Bridge to Emerson Umbrella. Large puppets will be accompanied by several musical groups such as the Musketaquid All-Star Brass Band, Snow Crow and Branches Steel Orchestra. Parade participants include environmental, school and community groups, friends, families and all those passionate about celebrating this place. Surprise side shows are planned along the parade route. All are welcome to join in the parade. Come!
12 to 2 pm
Arts & Environment Festival
Rock out to the sounds of local area bands Snow Crow and Spacelanders (formerly known as Ricky Spoolhands & The Gay-Z), along with the Boston-based Brendan Hogan Band (who has just released a new album SilverQuick). There will be information tables from several area environmental organizations, along with glass blowing demonstrations by Diablo Glass, food for sale by Lefty’s Silver Cart, and water bubbler stations provided by the town of Concord Water. Held on the Emerson Umbrella grounds, 40 Stow Street in Concord, right after the arrival of the Earth Day Parade.

All Musketaquid Earth Day events will be presented in Concord, with several taking place at Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts located at 40 Stow Street.
