Pippin – ABRHS Musical

This 1972 musical features a nod to the original choreography by Bob Fosse, as created by choreographer Liza Levy. Directed by Linda Potter, with music direction by Jeanie Furlan and an unusual set design by Concord architect Tom Peterman, this show promises to be another crowd pleaser. The story is of Pippin, the son of King Charlemagne, who has graduated from college and is searching for something that will make his life extraordinary. His search leads him to try many things but, when he is drawn to the bright lights of success, he alone must choose what will make him most happy. The score by Stephen Sondheim (Godspell, Wicked) opens with an eclectic band of players singing Magic to Do.
