Prokovief’s Peter and the Wolf

The Radius Ensemble, a Cambridge based chamber of music ensemble will be featuring a wind quintet version of Prokovief’s Peter and the Wolf.

A perfect introduction to classical music for children in a fun and captivating setting! This interactive performance will include a show-and-tell of each instrument. There will be an opportunity for children to play along using whistles, kazoos, and small hand percussion instruments!

Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf has delighted audiences of all ages. Originally composed in 1936, this piece famously uses personified instruments to tell the story of Young Peter and his friends who attempt to outwit the mean fox who is menacing their small Russian village.
