Do you have a treasure in your attic...? Have you ever wondered about the value of a treasured family heirloom, unusual collection or special garage sale find? During a "What's it Worth?" event, a Skinner appraiser will discuss and evaluate an assortment of objects before an audience. “What’s It Worth” is an open format appraisal event, which has become increasingly popular as appraisers have found that participants are just as curious about the treasures brought by others as they are about their own.  For a smooth flow during the event, the appraiser suggests the following: substitute a good photo for large or fragile pieces; for china or silver sets - bring one piece and list of all items. Please omit coins, stamps, jewelry and musical instruments. A limited amount of appraisals are available. Skinner’s renowned appraiser will give verbal appraisals on up two items per person for the first 25 people to register. Stuart joined Skinner in 1989 as director of the Fine Ceramics department, specializing in English and Continental ceramics of the 18^th through 20^th centuries. In addition, Stuart is a recognized expert in Asian Material, particularity silver, porcelains and ivories. This is an entertaining program and with an informative speaker whose goal is to teach the audience something new with each item he examines.
