Workshop on Independent Secondary School Admissions

Are you considering an independent secondary school as an alternative to public high school? This workshop is designed to help you with the choices and the process from two parents’ perspectives. Attendees will learn the reasons for considering private high schools, the types of schools available, finding the right “fit” for your child, the application process, required testing requirements, athletic and art talent considerations, among other issues. Personal reflection will be provided with honesty, and the course is set up as interactive so bring your questions. The course will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Concord Carlisle High School, and is sponsored by Concord-Carlisle Adult & Community Education. This course is being taught by Carolyn Kiely, an attorney, and Caren Ponty, a management consultant, who will share their experiences and provide guidance.
