15 teams competed in the full-day event in Newton, with Fenn sending eight wrestlers into the semifinals with an additional two wrestlers, Josh Cabral (Tewksbury) and Robert Griffin (Sudbury), advancing to the finals.

Griffin started strong in his match against a Roxbury Latin opponent and was up, 5-0, before being pinned in the second period.  Cabral, an eighth grader, put up a good fight but also was pinned in the second period.

In varsity basketball, Fenn pulled out to an early lead on Friday and never looked back at Lawrence Academy.  Ninth grader Jack Lyne (Concord) led all scorers with 10 points in Fenn's 45-20 victory.

"Our team worked hard all season," said Coach Peter Bradley, whose team finished the season with a 7-6 record.  "We had a lot of fun and showed great improvement throughout."

In Squad basketball, Fenn got off to a slow start on Wednesday at Rivers, but poured it on in the second half for a convincing 45-26 victory.   It was a tighter game Friday when Fenn hosted Belmont Hill.  Fenn couldn't capitalize on chances in the final minutes of the game and fell to Belmont Hill, 49-46.  Squad ended the season with an 11-7 record.
