Fenn bounced back on Friday against Rivers, as Gavin Kennedy (Concord) got Fenn on the board early, capitalizing on a scramble in front of the net. Fenn went up 2-0 less than a minute into the second, then opened the floodgates for a 5-0 advantage. Rivers broke Leo Saraceno's (Acton) shutout with less than a minute to go in the game to make it a 5-1 final.
"Our effort was full and consistent and we had good jump in our legs. Our transition game and forecheck was strong, and we moved the puck well," said Coach Derek Boonisar. "Matt Killian (Concord) and Cory Tibbetts (Acton) played well defensively and our first line controlled the play up front."
Fenn's varsity hockey record is 14-4 with Fenn scheduled to wrap up the season on Friday as the team hosts Dexter.
