ICYMI: 2 Juveniles ID'd for 'Suspicious Bottles' Found Near Concord Train Tracks
The discovery of two suspicious devices halted service for an hour Tuesday evening.

CONCORD, MA – Police investigated suspicious devices on the train tracks near Sudbury Road in Concord at the height of Tuesday's evening commute.
MBTA Transit Police said early Wednesday morning that their detectives and Concord Police identified two juvenile males, ages 14 and 15, responsible for the incident.
Around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, the Concord Fire Department responded to a brush fire about 200 yards south of the Sudbury Street crossing on the Commuter Rail tracks. Firefighters extinguished the fire and rendered the other device "safe."

MBTA Transit Police described the devices as "incendiary" and said they were comprised of a plastic bottle with two liquid chemicals inside that can be purchased over the counter. When the chemicals react, they can heat up and cause a flash fire.
The two juveniles will be summoned to court for Possession of Incendiary Devices and Interfering with Public Transportation.

Police put a hold on all train traffic through Concord during the incident, resulting in significant delays to the Fitchburg commuter rail line.
Service resumed after about an hour. No injuries were reported.
