If you’re wondering how to spend quality time with your famiy this summer, you must attened the Thursday Author Series on June 14.
Wendy Swart Grossman is the featured guest and will discuss her book “Behind the Wheerl: A Mother’s Journal of a Year on the Road,” a Boston Globe bestseller chronicling a cross-country road trip with her children. Wendy lives in the Boston area and is a close friend of Concordian Cristina Blau, who recommended her for the monthly speaking series.
Wendy shares the story of how her family literally road out the recession by placing their belongings in storage and their kids in an RV. The Grossman’s lived on $110 a day, while visiting national parks and camping out for free in Walmart parking lots across the country.

Come laugh as she shares the highs and lows of traveling with kids in tow for a year. Wendy’s talk begins at 7:30 p.m., in the Periodical Room of the . There is no charge and a question-and-answer period and book signing will follow.
