LETTER: Bergen Will Foster Partnership

I am very pleased to have the opportunity to endorse Lisa Bergen’s candidacy for School Committee.

As a parent of children who have benefited from the excellent education provided by the teachers of the Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle Regional High School, Lisa is dedicated to continuing this record of excellence. Most importantly, Lisa understands that the success of our schools is a product of a long-term partnership between the public schools and the public. Lisa proved her ability to foster this partnership many times through her participation in the public conversation during the past year, blazing a trail away from discord and toward mutually respectful, open communication.

Lisa is thoughtful, well-spoken, and fair-minded. She can immerse herself in the details of a problem and master its complexity, but she also knows when to step back and look at the larger picture, and she believes in long-term planning.
