LETTER: 'Brown May Be a Republican, But He's a Mass Native First and Foremost'
Concord resident Adriana Cohen writes in support of US Sen. Scott Brown ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

To the Editor,
After reading about Indiana Senate candidate Richard Murdock and the comment he made about pregnancy after rape as “something that God intended,” I was shocked and offended. However, I was extremely pleased and not surprised that Senator Brown came out and spoke against those comments. This just goes to show that Senator Brown isn’t afraid to say what’s right or to condemn those in his own party. Scott Brown may be a Republican, but he’s a Massachusetts native first and foremost. As long as he has been serving the Commonwealth, Senator Brown has been advocating for women. He broke with his party to defend federal funding of Planned Parenthood support victims of rape in the military. Women can trust Scott Brown to have their best interests at heart in Washington.
