Man Held At Knifepoint, Forced To Drive Suspect Around: Police

Police are searching for a Bedford man who they say forced a Concord resident to drive him to locations as far as New Haven, CT, overnight.

CONCORD, MA — Police are looking for a Bedford man who they say broke into a Concord home and forced a resident at knifepoint to drive him hours away.

Julian Field, 24, is wanted on charges of armed home invasion, kidnapping, armed assault of a person 60 years or older, armed assault in a dwelling, and burglary; armed; and assault on occupants.

Police said someone told them a man entered his home Sunday night and held him at knifepoint, forcing him to drive to places in Western Massachusetts and Southern Connecticut. When the suspect exited the man's vehicle in New Haven, Conn., the victim drove back to his Concord home and called police. He was not injured.

A knife was taken from the victim's vehicle, but Field should still be considered armed and dangerous.
