While looking at surveillance footage, police were able to determine that the suspect in the video was Stanley. Shortly later, police in Acton informed local police departments that two suspects had entered an optometry practice and acted in a way that made employees believe they were attempting to steal glasses. The suspects then left the practice and were last seen driving towards Concord.

As officers responded to the optometry practice, police received a second report that two individuals from the previous Acton report had entered another optometry practice and were acting suspiciously before they were confronted by employees and left the business.
