CONCORD, MA—Seeing animals when you walk outside your door is not an uncommon occurrence in Concord, but Wright Farm Road residents awoke to a group of rather large guests on their properties Wednesday morning.
Capt. Thomas Mulcahy of the Concord Police Department told Patch that at approximately 6:25 a.m., police received reports from residents of a group of cows that wandered away from the Northeastern Correctional Center (NECC) Farm. Police later discovered that about 10-12 cows were wandering the Wright Farm Road area moving toward Barrett's Mill Road.
Police later assisted NECC personnel with corralling the cows back to their farm. No residents or cows were harmed during the escape.
