Sports Week in Review: April 23 - April 29

The boys’ tennis and baseball teams were headed in two different directions this week.

On Tuesday afternoon, after being rained out on Monday, the Patriots boys’ tennis team , with a 5-0 sweep of Arlington High School. C-C won all three singles matches with relative ease, but it took a tiebreak for the home team to pick up the second doubles, and final point, of the match.

On Wednesday, the C-C baseball team was to continue a season that seems to be filled with it. Trailing Bedford for much of their game, the Patriots battled back to tie the game in the seventh inning and force extras. However, the Buccaneers pushed the winning run across in the eight.

Friday afternoon featured a matchup between C-C and neighboring Lexington in a girls’ lacrosse matchup. The Patriots stumbled early, with the game tied just before the half, but turned on the jets after the break to run away with a seven-goal victory.
