Sports Week in Review: June 11 - June 17
A recap look at the games and stories Patch covered in and around Concord this week.
Just one athletic team remained in contention this week, as the boys lacrosse team was looking to capture the MIAA East Division 2 championship with its second trip to the sectional final since 2009.
Last Friday, the Patriots with a victory over Hingham High School in the Semifinal round. It took triple overtime, but C-C outlasted its visitors from the South Shore to return to the championship game.
On Monday, C-C met up with old foe Medfield High School in the final. The two teams have now met in each of the past three sectional tournaments. C-C was victorious in 2009, but its win at Harvard on Monday in the series.

So, with the high school sports season in the books, it was also time this week to look ahead to the summer. For some, that means American Legion baseball. against Newton Post 440.
Also this week, Patch took its in and around Concord, and by the CCHS track and field team in its effort for a new track. The team hosted its Adrian Martinez Classic on Friday evening.
