This week, some members of the Concord-Carlisle High School boys' tennis team weren't ready to let the high school sports season end just yet.
Junior Alex Steinroeder and seniors Alec Ahee and Hayden Callahan competed at the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) state individual tennis finals at Clark University in Worcester last Saturday.
Steinroeder beat Needham High's Aaron Revzin to capture his second straight individual state title. Ahee and Callahan placed second in the doubles competition.

On Wednesday, the Concord Post 158 American Legion baseball team used a gutsy at-bat from Ryan Kelt and Jake Anzer's superb pitching performance to beat Tyngsboro 7-4. Kelt sparked the Concord rally with a walk and Anzer struck out five batters in a complete-game effort.
