Sports Week in Review, June 25 - July 1
A recap of the games and stories Patch covered in and around Concord this week.
The Concord Post 158 American Legion baseball team had a busy slate of games this week, as the squad took the field four times ahead of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Concord started off well enough by winning the first three games it played. However, on Wednesday, the team of the year. Sloppy defense and an opportunistic Hudson Post 100 team dealt Post 158 an 8-6 loss.
The team will return to the field on July 5.

Also this week, Patch caught up with two of the directors of the Concord-Carlisle Youth Lacrosse organization’s . Brian Stout and Dan Bowen spoke about the expansion of the offseason program in the years they’ve led the boys’ side.
The two also touched on the growing popularity lacrosse has enjoyed in the area and nationally the past few years. Registration for Fall Ball is available on the CCYL’s website.
