Just a few more days, sports fans, you can do it. The spring season gets under way this week for a number of Concord-Carlisle High School teams. Last week, Patch previewed the season ahead for several Patriot squads.
On Wednesday, we took a close look at the . The Patriot teams are looking good this year and eager to build off strong 2010 campaigns. C-C’s boys’ team wants to get back on the field after losing in the semifinals of the tournament last year, while the girls’ team enters the year under the leadership of a new coach.
On Thursday, it was time to look at the . That’s not an easy task, considering how big each of the Patriot teams are. Coach Steve Lane said he’s spent much of the preseason just learning everybody’s name. The squad has a total of 160 athletes, 50 freshmen along, Lane said.

Like their C-C counterparts, the Patriots’ is also eager to get to matches that count. That’s because they fell short last year, at least by C-C standards, when the Minutemen fell to Lexington in the North D-1 championship match.
