Sports Week in Review: May 7 - May 13

The baseball teams of and Newton South High School couldn’t quite decide a winner in their game on Thursday.

In fact, before the Lions pushed the winning run across the plate and ended the hard-fought matchup. Concord-Carlisle’s Adam Koski plated teammate Brendan Canavan in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extra innings.

The C-C softball team with Newton South’s softball team on Thursday. The Patriots’ 6-1 victory was fueled by its versatile bench, which picked up four pinch hits in breaking the game open in the sixth and seventh innings.

On Wednesday, Patch took a for Concord-Carlisle Youth Baseball and Softball. There were plenty of games on the schedule and numerous memorable performances to go around.
